This exhibition celebrates the diverse work of eminent furniture maker and designer John Makepeace. Bringing together a collection of major works from 50 years of making, significant pieces have been borrowed from important national and private collections. Key pieces from Makepeace’s own collection are shown alongside newly commissioned works available for sale. The exhibition will contextualise his influence as a designer, teacher and ambassador for the crafts - supported by a comprehensive and creative education package.
This is a unique opportunity to view Makepeace’s design journey, learn about his influences and to find out more about the man behind the furniture.
Touring nationally through 2011.
